Zeosoft Extends Virtualization to the Application Layer

Application virtualization for client devices offers significant advantage when extending enterprise applications to a growing number of disparate devices and operating systems. Zeosoft's technology operates on two levels of virtualization. First, Zeosoft supports Java, which allows any device with a Java Virtual Machine to run Java applications regardless of the underlying operating system or hardware. Second, Zeosoft's application and any services it requires such as database access, security and network services are placed within a container. In a traditional application model, these services must first reside on the device where the application is to be installed or they cannot function properly. In Zeosoft's virtual model, the container holds both application and its supporting services. The container is sent to any Java-enabled device, where the application automatically configures and launches itself from within the container. A container may also hold additional containers, each with its own applications or services.
